Roasted Masala Fish Fry

- 1 Cup = 200ml
Ingredients
- King fish - ½ kg
- Dried red chili - 3
- Coriander seeds – 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
- Whole black pepper – 2 tsp
- Red chili powder – 1 ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- Rice flour – 1 tbsp
- Oil – ¼ cup
- Salt – to taste
Method
- Dry roast dried red chili, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and whole black pepper for a minute or 2 over low flame and grind it to a powder.
- In a bowl, combine together red chili powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice, salt and the ground spice powder with 1 or 2 tbsp water to make a smooth thick paste. Marinate the cleaned fish in this spice masala for about half an hour. Sprinkle the rice flour over the marinated fish.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated fish over medium flame, till done. Serve hot with rice.
