Chicken Poppers - sanaa's recipe
  1. 1 Cup = 200ml
  1. Chicken mince (uncooked) – 250 gram
  2. Carrot – 1, grated
  3. Onion – 1, chopped finely
  4. Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  5. Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
  6. Red chili powder – 1 ½ tsp
  7. Red chili sauce – 2 tsp
  8. Corn flour – 1 tbsp
  9. Egg – 1
  10. Bread crumbs – 1 – 1 ½ cup
  11. Salt – to taste
  12. Oil – for deep frying
  1. In a deep bowl, combine together chicken mince, carrot, onion, ginger garlic paste, coriander leaves, red chili powder, red chili sauce, corn flour (ingredients from 1 – 8) and salt. Make about 16 – 18 balls out of it.
  2. In another bowl, take beaten egg for coating, dip the prepared chicken balls one by one in the egg and coat it with bread crumbs. Keep it in in the freezer for about an hour (make sure that each chicken ball is kept with little space in between).
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium flame and fry these frozen balls till golden brown. Serve hot with mayonnaise or tomato ketchup.

Note : *Makes about 16 – 18 chicken poppers. *Make sure that the chicken mince doesn’t have any water content in it to make perfectly shaped balls. *Make sure that the oil is not too hot, or else the snack will easily get browned outside and uncooked inside. *This snack can be baked instead of deep frying. *This can be frozen for later use.
