Gobi Paratha/ Cauliflower Stuffed Paratha

- 1 Cup = 200ml
For the dough
Ingredients
- Wheat flour – 2 cup
- Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp
- Warm water – 1 cup
- Salt – to taste
Method
- In a deep bowl, combine together wheat flour and oil. To this add salt water little by little and knead it to a smooth and soft dough. Keep it covered for about 15 minutes. Knead it again for a minute and divide it to six balls.
For the filling
Ingredients
- Cauliflower (grated finely) – 1 ½ cup
- Green chili – 2, finely chopped
- Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp, finely chopped
- Ginger – 1 tsp, finely chopped
- Red chili powder – 1 tsp
- Black pepper powder – ½ tsp
- Garam masala powder – ¼ tsp
- Salt – to taste
Method
- Combine all the above ingredients in a bowl.
To prepare the paratha
Ingredients
- All purpose flour – for dusting
- Clarified butter/ ghee – for the parathas
Method
- Take one dough ball, dust it with little flour and roll it a bit. Add 2 tbsp of the cauliflower filling and cover it nicely with the sides.
- Dust it again with little flour and roll it to the size of paratha.
- Heat a pan and cook the paratha on both sides till nicely done. Top it with little ghee and serve hot with yogurt.
- Repeat the process with the remaining dough and make parathas.
Note : Makes 6 parathas.
