Chilli Mutton - sanaa's recipe
  1. 1 Cup = 200ml
  1. Mutton – ½ kg
  2. Red chili powder – 2 tsp
  3. Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  4. Dried red chili – 4 (soak it in 2 tbsp water for half an hour)
  5. Garlic – 4 big cloves
  6. Ginger – a small piece
  7. Cinnamon – a small piece
  8. Onion – 2 (thinly sliced)
  9. Coriander powder – ½ tsp
  10. Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp
  11. Salt - to taste
  12. Oil – 3 tbsp
  1. Cook the cleaned mutton with red chili powder, turmeric powder and salt adding ½ cup of water in a pressure cooker. Open the cooker and heat it the water content is reduced and become thick. Keep it aside.
  2. Grind together soaked red chili, ginger and garlic (add a tbsp of water if required) and keep it ready.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add cinnamon, sliced onion and little salt and saute till soft. Add ground red chili and saute well till raw smell disappear and oil appears on top.
  4. Add coriander powder and saute well. Now add the cooked mutton to this and combine well. Cook this for another 5 minutes over low flame. Add coriander leaves to this and remove from flame. Serve hot.
