- 1 Cup = 200ml
Ingredients
- Chickpeas – 1 cup
- Onion – 1 (chopped)
- Garlic – 4 big cloves (chopped)
- Red chili powder – ¾ tsp
- Coriander powder – ½ tsp
- Pepper powder – ½ tsp
- Cumin powder – ¾ tsp
- All purpose flour – 2 tbsp
- Baking soda – ¼ tsp
- Coriander leaves – ½ cup
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – for deep frying
Method
- Soak the chickpeas in water overnight. Drain the soaked chickpeas and pat them dry.
- Add all the above ingredients in a food processor or grinder and grind it (do not grind it to fine paste). Cool it covered in the refrigerator for about an hour.
- Heat oil in a deep pan. Make about 18 – 20 balls out of the prepared chickpea mixture (scoop it with a spoon).
- Fry these balls in medium low hot oil till golden turning the sides occasionally. Drain the excess oil in a paper towel. Serve hot.
