- 1 Cup = 200ml
Ingredients
- Fish - 500 gram
- Ginger - garlic paste - 1 ½ tsp
- Pepper pwd - 1 tsp
- Turmeric pwd - ½ tsp
- Lemon juice - 1 tsp
- Salt - to taste
Method
- Marinate the fish pieces with the above ingredients for about half an hour. Heat 2 -3 tbsp oil in a pan, shallow fry the fish pieces for about 3 - 4 minutes. Keep it aside.

- Cloves - 2
- Cinnamon - a small piece
- Crushed ginger - garlic - 1 tbsp
- Green chilies - 4
- Onion - 2, sliced
- Pepper pwd - ¾ tsp
- Turmeric pwd - ½ tsp
- Garam masala pwd - ¼ tsp
- Thin coconut milk - 1 ½ cup
- Tomato - 2
- Thick coconut milk - 1 cup
- Curry leaves - 2 springs
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 4 tbsp
Method
- Heat oil in a pan, add cardamom, cinnamon and cloves. To this add crushed ginger garlic and green chilies. Saute till the raw smell disappears.
- Add the chopped onion to this and saute till soft and it changes the colour lightly. Add curry leaves and saute. To this add pepper pwd, turmeric pwd, garam masala pwd and salt and saute till oil appears on top.
- Add thin coconut milk to this and let it boil. Reduce the flame, add the fried fish pieces to this and cook till done. Add chopped tomatoes to this and cook till tomatoes are cooked.
- Add thick coconut milk to this and heat it for another 2 - 3 minutes. Do not boil. Serve hot
