Spicy Chicken Masala

- 1 Cup = 200ml
Ingredients
- Chicken - ½ kg
- Red chili powder - 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Curry leaves - little
- Onion - 2 (thinly sliced)
- Green chili - 2 to 3 (chopped)
- Crushed ginger garlic - 1 tsp
- Tomato - 1 (chopped)
- Red chili powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
- Garam masala powder - ¼ tsp
- Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Salt - to taste
Method
- Add 2 cup of water to chicken, red chili powder, turmeric powder and salt and cook till done and the water content is reduced to 3 or 4 tbsp. Keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add sliced onion and green chilies and saute till soft. To this add crushed ginger garlic and saute till the raw smell disappears.
- Add chopped tomato and cook till soft. Now add red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt and saute till oil appears on top. Add the cooked chicken pieces and the remaining gravy and combine well. Add the coriander leaves, cook for another 5 minutes on low flame. Serve hot with chapathi or ghee rice.
