Baked Parmesan Chicken With Herbed White Sauce - sanaa's recipe
  1. 1 Cup = 200ml
Ingredients
  1. Chicken breast halves - 2
  2. Garlic - 2 big cloves (crushed)
  3. Olive oil - 2 tablespoon
  4. Bread crumbs - 1/3 cup
  5. Parmesan cheese - ¼ cup
  6. Oregano - ½ tsp
  7. Dried basil - ½ tsp
  8. Red chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  9. Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
  10. Salt - to taste
Method
  1. Marinate the chicken with crushed garlic and olive oil and little salt and keep it aside for about half an hour.
  2. Mix the remaining dry ingredients in another bowl. Coat the marinated chicken with the bread crumb mixture and place it in a greased baking dish.
  3. Preheat the oven to 170 degree and bake it for about 35 - 40 minutes or till done. Remove it from the oven, slice it and serve hot topped with herbed white sauce.
For White Sauce
Ingredients
  1. Butter - 4 tablespoon
  2. All purpose flour - 3 tablespoon
  3. Milk - 750 ml
  4. Black pepper powder - 1 ½ tsp
  5. Oregano - ¼ tsp
  6. Dried basil - ¼ tsp
  7. Red chili flakes - ½ tsp
  8. Salt - to taste
Method
  1. Heat butter in a pan, add all purpose flour to this and cook on low flame for about 2 - 3 minutes stirring continuously.
  2. Remove it from the flame and pour milk to this little by little without forming lumps stirring continuously.
  3. Boil this mixture and cook it on low flame till thick. To this add black pepper powder , oregano, basil, red chili flakes and little salt and combine well. Remove it from flame and serve with baked chicken.
