Chicken Tandoori (Without Oven) - sanaa's recipe
  1. 1 Cup = 200ml
Ingredients
  1. Chicken whole leg (with skin) – 5 pieces
  2. Red chili powder – 1 tbsp
  3. Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  4. Paprika powder – 2 tsp
  5. Cumin powder – ½ tsp
  6. Garam masala powder – ½ tsp
  7. Crushed ginger garlic – 1 tbsp
  8. Yogurt – ½ cup
  9. Lemon juice – 2 tsp
  10. Butter – 3 tbsp + 2 tbsp
  11. Olive oil – 1 tbsp
  12. Salt – to taste
Method
  1. Make 3 – 4 cuts on the cleaned chicken pieces.
  2. In a bowl, combine together all the spice powders, crushed ginger garlic, yogurt, lemon juice, 2 tbsp butter and salt. Add the chicken pieces to this and marinate it. Keep it covered in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
  3. Heat butter and olive oil together in a pan, add the chicken pieces and fry till cooked and turns golden brown. Remove the chicken pieces from the pan.
  4. With the help of a fork, bring each chicken piece to direct flame and heat it for few seconds on all sides, to get the perfect taste. Serve hot.
