Tawa Mushroom Masala - sanaa's recipe
  1. 1 Cup = 200ml
Ingredients
  1. Mushroom – 250 gram, thinly sliced
  2. Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
  3. Onion – 1, chopped
  4. Ginger garlic (crushed) – 2 tbsp
  5. Green chili – 2, chopped
  6. Tomato – 2, chopped
  7. Red chili powder – 2 tsp
  8. Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  10. Cumin powder - ¼ tsp
  11. Capsicum – 1 small, chopped
  12. Kasoori methi/ dried fenugreek leaves – 1 tsp
  13. Coriander leaves – 3 tbsp
  14. Oil – 3 tbsp
  15. Butter – 2 tbsp
  16. Salt – to taste
Method
  1. Heat oil in a tawa, add cumin seeds. Add chopped onion and salt and saute till soft and start to change the colour. Add crushed ginger garlic and green chili and saute till the raw smell disappear.
  2. Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 4 – 5 minutes over low flame. Add red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and cumin powder and cook till oil appears on top.
  3. Add chopped capsicum and cook for about 3 minutes. Add sliced mushroom and kasoori methi/ dried fenugreek leaves and cook till done. Add coriander leaves and butter, combine and remove from flame. Serve hot.
