Kashmiri Lamb Chops - sanaa's recipe
  1. 1 Cup = 200ml
Ingredients
  1. Mutton chops – 6 – 8 pieces
  2. Red chili powder – 2 tsp
  3. Black pepper powder – ½ tsp
  4. Cumin powder – ½ tsp
  5. Fennel powder – ½ tsp
  6. Crushed ginger – 1 tbsp
  7. Cardamom – 2 (crushed)
  8. Cloves - 2
  9. Saffron – a pinch
  10. Milk – 1 ½ cup
  11. Garam masala powder – ¼ tsp
  12. Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp
  13. Mint leaves – 1 tbsp
  14. Water – 1 ½ cup
  15. Salt – to taste
  16. Oil – 2 tbsp
Method
  1. In a pan, take cleaned mutton pieces with 1 ½ cup water and salt for about 10 minutes. Drain the excess water from the pan.
  2. Add red chili powder, black pepper powder, cumin powder, fennel powder, crushed ginger, cardamom, cloves, saffron, milk (ingredients from 2 – 10) and little salt to the mutton and cook covered over low flame till the all the water content gets dried up.
  3. Add garam masala powder, coriander leaves and mint leaves to this and combine. Add oil to this and cook for another 2 minutes. Serve hot.
