Mutton Do Pyaza - sanaa's recipe
  1. 1 Cup = 200ml
For the marinade
Ingredients
  1. Mutton – ½ kg
  2. Onion (big) – 4, sliced
  3. Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  4. Red chili powder – 2 tsp
  5. Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  7. Garam masala powder – ½ tsp
  8. Cumin powder – ¼ tsp
  9. Yogurt – 3 tbsp
  10. Salt –t to taste
  11. Oil – ¼ cup
Method
  1. Marinate the cleaned mutton pieces with all the above ingredients for about an hour in the refrigerator. Move this marinated mutton to a pressure cooker adding ¼ cup of water and cook till the mutton half cooked.
  2. Open the pressure cooker and cook over low flame till it becomes thick. Keep it aside.

  1. Onion – 2, sliced
  2. Crushed ginger garlic – 1 tsp
  3. Red chili powder – ½ tsp
  4. Dried fenugreek leaves/ Kasoori methi – 1 tsp
  5. Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
  6. Salt – as required
  7. Oil – 2 tbsp
Method
  1. Heat oil in a pan, add the sliced onion and saute till light soft and changes the colour. Add crushed ginger garlic and saute till the raw smell disappear.
  2. Add red chili powder, kasoori methi and salt and sautr till oil appears on top. Add the cooked mutton along with the thick gravy, combine well and cook till done, over low flame. Add coriander leaves and remove from flame. Serve hot.
