Tomato Chutney - sanaa's recipe
  1. 1 Cup = 200ml
Ingredients
  1. Tomato - 1, chopped
  2. Onion - 1, chopped
  3. Garlic - 2 cloves
  4. Mustard seeds - ¾ tsp
  5. Urad daal - ¾ tsp
  6. Curry leaves - few
  7. Red chili powder - ¾ tsp
  8. Salt - to taste
  9. Oil - 2 tbsp
Method
  1. Grind together chopped tomato, onion and garlic cloves to a fine paste without adding water.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and let it crackle. To this add urad daal and saute for few seconds and then add curry leaves.
  3. To this add the ground mixture, red chili powder and enough salt and mix well. Cook it on low flame for about 3 - 4 minutes till little thick. Remove from flame and serve hot with ghee roaste dosa , egg dosa or idly.
