Coconut Chutney - sanaa's recipe
  1. 1 Cup = 200ml
Ingredients
  1. Coconut - 1 ½ cup
  2. Green chili - 2 or 3
  3. Ginger - 2 small pieces
  4. Garlic - 2 cloves
  5. Soaked urad daal - 1 tbsp (optional)
  6. Salt - to taste
  7. Mustard seeds - ½ tsp
  8. Curry leaves - 6 - 8 leaves
  9. Oil - 2 tbsp
Method
  1. Grind well coconut with green chili, ginger, garlic, soaked urad daal and salt adding enough warm water. Add more water if required to get the correct consistency.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and let it splutter. To this add curry leaves and remove from flame. Add this to the ground coconut mixture and serve.
