Butter Garlic Pepper Prawns - sanaa's recipe
  1. 1 Cup = 200ml
For marinating
Ingredients
  1. Big Prawns - 25 - 30 no. (with or without tail)
  2. Red chili powder - 1 tsp
  3. Coriander powder - ¼ tsp
  4. Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
  5. Garlic - 3 cloves (crushed)
  6. Curry leaves - 7 - 8 leaves, chopped
  7. Salt - to taste
Method
  1. Clean the prawns and drain the water thoroughly.
  2. Marinate the prawns with all the above ingredients and keep it aside for about an hour.
Ingredients
  1. Garlic - 2 cloves (crushed)
  2. Green chili - 1, chopped
  3. Onion (medium) - 2, chopped
  4. Crushed black pepper corns - 1 - 1 ½ tsp
  5. Turmeric powder - a pinch
  6. Salt - to taste
  7. Butter - 2 tbsp
  8. Oil - 2 tbsp
Method
  1. Heat oil in a pan, add crushed garlic and green chili to it and saute for few seconds.
  2. Add the chopped onion to this and saute till it slightly changes the colour. Add crushed black pepper corns and turmeric powder to this and saute really well till the raw smell disappears.
  3. Now add the marinated prawns to this and mix well. Cook on medium low flame stirring occasionally. When the prawns are cooked well, add butter mix well. Cook on low flame for another 2 - 3 minutes and remove from flame.
  4. Leave it covered for 10 minutes and serve.
