Spicy Prawn Macaroni Masala

Spicy Prawn Macaroni Masala - sanaa's recipe
  1. 1 Cup = 200ml
Ingredients
  1. Prawns - 200 gm (if prawn is big, cut each prawn into two)
  2. Chilly Pwdr - 2 tsp
  3. Turmeric Pwdr - ¼ tsp
  4. Garlic - 3 Cloves
  5. Onion - 1 (small)
  6. Curry Leaves (optional, but recommended)
  7. Salt - to taste
  8. Oil - 3 tbsp
  9. Macaroni - 250 gm
  10. Onion - 3 (Medium size)
  11. Capsicum - 1 (chopped)
  12. Tomato - 1 (chopped)
  13. Carrot -1 (optional) Grated
  14. Ginger - 2 (small)
  15. Garlic - 8 cloves
  16. Green chilly - 6 (according to taste)
  17. Curd - ¼ cup
  18. All spice pwdr - ½ tsp
  19. Ghee - 3 tbsp
  20. Salt - to taste
Method
  1. Clean prawns and drain the water completely
  2. Marinate Prawns with chilly pwdr, turmeric pwdr, garlic, salt and curry leaves for 20-25 minutes
  3. Heat oil (3 tbsp) in pan, add chopped onion and saute for 1 minute.
  4. Add marinated prawns in to it and fry till done. Make sure not to over cook and Keep this aside
  5. Boil water, add macaroni, salt, and 1 tbsp oil and cook in low flame and cover the pan with a lid while cooking
  6. When cooked, drain the water completely and pour cold water over it and drain it again, keep it aside
  7. Grind ginger, garlic and green chilly with ¼ cup curd and keep it ready.
  8. Heat a pan, add ghee, add chopped onion, Capsicum, and grated carrot and saute well in low flame. Add salt to it
  9. To this add tomato and saute for some time
  10. Add ground (ginger-gralic green chilly-curd) paste to this. (step 7) and saute till raw smell disappears
  11. Add fried prawns to and cook in low flame for 5 minutes. Add all spice pwdr and mix well
  12. Add cooked macaroni and cook in low flame for another 5 minutes. Stir this mix frequently while cooking. Serve hot
