Spicy Kadai Chicken - sanaa's recipe
  1. 1 Cup = 200ml
For marination
Ingredients
  1. Chicken - 1kg
  2. Pepper- 1 tsp
  3. Turmeric pwd- ½ tsp
  4. Ginger paste- 1 tsp
  5. Garlic paste- 1 tsp
  6. Lemon juice- 1 tsp
  7. Salt- to taste
To saute
Ingredients
  1. Ginger - 1 table spoon
  2. Onion- 3
  3. Green chilly - 1
  4. Chilly powder - 2 tsp
  5. Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
  6. Pepper powder- ½ tsp
  7. Garam masala pwd - 1 tsp
  8. Kasoori Methi - a pinch
To boil the ingredients and make paste by grinding and keep ready
Ingredients
  1. Tomato- 2
  2. Green chilly- 2
  3. Chilli pwd - 1/2 tsp
  4. Ginger- 1 ½ tsp
  5. Garlic - 1 ½ tsp
  6. Cardamom-3
  7. Cloves - 3
  8. Water - 1 cup
To add at the end
Ingredients
  1. Fresh cream - ½ cup
  2. Salt - to taste
  3. Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
  4. Water - 1 cup
Method
  1. Marinate chicken using ingredient set 1 and keep aside for 1 hr. Then fry it in oil
  2. Using the same oil saute ginger, onion, green chilly till it turns golden brown. To this ad rest of the ingredients of set 2 and saute further till raw smell disappears
  3. Add the ground paste (of ingredient set 3) and fried chicken and saute again
  4. Add salt and 1 cup of water and allow it to boil
  5. When the gravy becomes thick, add fresh cream and coriander leaves and mix well
