Butter Chicken 1 - sanaa's recipe
  1. 1 Cup = 200ml
Ingredients
  1. Chicken - 1 kg
  2. Ginger - 1 tsp
  3. Garlic - 1 tsp
  4. Salt - to taste
Method
  1. Marinate the chicken with the above ingredients and keep it aside for about 1 hour. Fry it in oil till tender. Keep it aside.

Method
  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and saute onion till soft. When cooled, grind it to fine paste.

  1. Tomato - 2 ( boil it in water as whole and remove the skin)
  2. Chili pwd - 2 tbsp
  3. Turmeric pwd - ½ tsp
  4. Garam masala pwd - 1 tsp
  5. Ginger - a small piece
  6. Garlic - 4 cloves
  7. Cardamom - 2
  8. Cloves - 2
  9. Curd - ½ cup
  10. Cashew nuts - 10 (soaked in water)
Method
  1. Grind the above ingredients to fine paste.

  1. Green chili - 1 or 2
  2. Kasoori methi - 1 tsp
  3. Water - 1 cup
  4. Butter - 4 tbsp
  5. Fresh cream - ¼ cup
  6. Coriander leaves
  7. Salt - to taste
Method
  1. Heat butter in a pan, add the grinded onion and saute till the raw smell disappears.
  2. Add the grinded tomato mixture and let it boil. To this add green chili, kasuri methi, fried chicken, I cup water and enough salt and cook till the chicken is done.
  3. To this add fresh cream and coriander leaves and heat it for another 2-3 minutes. Serve hot with battura, naan or chapathi.
