Chicken Shawarma

Chicken Shawarma - sanaa's recipe
  1. 1 Cup = 200ml
Ingredients
  1. Chicken - ½ kg
  2. Chili pwd - 1 ½ tsp
  3. Turmeric pwd - ¼ tsp
  4. Crushed ginger garlic - 2 tsp
  5. Yoghurt (curd) - 2 tbsp
  6. Lemon juice - 2 tsp
  7. Vinegar - 1 tsp
  8. Salt - to taste
Method
  1. Marinate the chicken with the above ingredients and leave it for about half an hour.
  2. Heat little oil in a pan and fry the chicken increasing the flame occasionally (to get the grilled effect). Cut it to strips and keep it aside.
Ingredients
  1. Cabbage (cut it to thin long strips) - 1 ½ - 2 cup
  2. Carrot - 1, medium sized (cut it to thin long strips)
  3. Tomato - 2, medium sized (thinly sliced)
  4. Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  5. Salt - to taste
Method
  1. Mix all the above ingredients except tomatoes and add the fried chicken pieces. Heat it in oven for about 2 minutes and add the sliced tomatoes to it. Keep it aside.
Ingredients
  1. Mayonnaise - 4 tbsp
  2. Yoghurt (curd) - 3 tbsp
  3. Crushed garlic - 3 - 4 cloves
  4. Lemon juice - 3 - 4 drops
  5. Salt - to taste
  6. Kubboos or naan (or any other similar type bread) - 10 - 12
Method
  1. Combine together mayonnaise, yogurt, crushed garlic, lemon juice and salt in a bowl.
  2. Spread little of this mayonnaise mix in the naan/ kubboos, add the chicken and veg filling to it and roll it tightly.
