Chicken Malai Tikka (Gravy) - sanaa's recipe
  1. 1 Cup = 200ml
For the marinade
Ingredients
  1. Chicken - ½ kg
  2. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  3. Red chili pwd - 2 tsp
  4. Paprika - 2 tsp
  5. Coriander pwd - ½ tsp
  6. Garam masala pwd - ½ tsp
  7. Cumin pwd - ½ tsp
  8. Yogurt (curd) - 2 tbsp
  9. Fresh cream - 1 tbsp
  10. Kasoori methi - ½ tsp
  11. Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  12. Butter - 1 tbsp
  13. Salt - to taste
Method
  1. Marinate chicken with all the above ingredients for about 2 hours.
  2. Pre heat the oven to 200 degree. Grease the grill with oil and grill it in the oven for about 15 minutes turning d sides 2 or 3 times.( Keep an oven tray below to collect the dripping. It vl b added to the gravy later. Reserve the remaining marinade also to add in the gravy.)
Ingredients
  1. Ginger - garlic (crushed) - 1 tsp
  2. Tomato - 2 (big)
  3. Green chili - 1
  4. Fresh cream - ¼ cup
  5. Butter - 2 tbsp
  6. Oil - 3 tbsp
  7. Salt - to taste
Method
  1. Heat butter and oil in a deep pan. To this add crushed ginger - garlic and chopped green chili and saute for a while.
  2. Add chopped tomatoes and cook till the water dries up.
  3. Add the grilled chicken, remaining marinade, the chicken dripping and salt. Mix well and cook it for about 10 minutes on low flame.
  4. Add the cream and cook for another 3 - 4 minutes on low flame. Serve hot.
