Chicken Do Pyaza - sanaa's recipe
  1. 1 Cup = 200ml
Ingredients
  1. Chicken - 1 kg
  2. Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  3. Chili pwd - 1 tbsp
  4. Ginger (crushed) - 1 tsp
  5. Garlic (crushed) - 1 tsp
  6. Onion - 2
  7. Tomato - 2 (boil it in water as whole and remove the skin, then grind it in the mixer with out adding water. This is d tomato puree)
  8. Curd - ½ cup
  9. Coriander pwd - 1 tbsp
  10. Turmeric pwd - ½ tsp
  11. Cumin pwd - 1 tsp
  12. Garam masala pwd - 1 tsp
  13. Green chili - 2
  14. Kasoori methi - 1 tbsp
  15. Coriander leaves
  16. Fresh cream - ¼ cup
  17. Salt - to taste
  18. Ghee - 3 tbsp
Method
  1. Marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste (no. 2) chili powder and salt. Keep it aside.
  2. In a pan, add ghee. When hot add crushed ginger garlic (no. 4 and no. 5) and saute for few seconds. To this add chopped onion and little salt and saute till soft and slightly changes the color.
  3. Add the tomato puree and cook for about 3 - 4 minutes.
  4. Add curd to it and mix well. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala, green chili and kasoori methi and cook till the raw smell disappears.
  5. Add the marinated chicken to it and cook till done. To this add coriander leaves and fresh cream and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Serve hot.
